BYU Summer STEM Camps for Students Going Into 10th or 11th Grade

Submitted by david.thacker on

We are excited to announce BYU's first-ever Summer STEM camp! BYU would like to invite students in the Nebo district to either participate in the camp as students or even work as counselors. The camp is STEM-focused with an emphasis on engineering, aviation, robotics, electronics, biology, cyber security, and programming. BYU is looking specifically for students going into 10th and 11th grade, but students going into 12th grade would be acceptable while spots are available.

Awesome Volunteer Helps Students Learn

Shoutout to Lyle our local volunteer who has been helping Mr. Mortimer's science class learn about Utah's mineral resources! His dedication to educating us about the importance of these resources and how they impact our daily lives is truly inspiring.

Thank you for all that you do for our community!

Compliment or Complaint?

Submitted by david.thacker on

Students in Mrs. Thompson's English classes continue to hear back from companies they wrote to in February. So far, the letters of complaint have generated more responses, but that could change in the weeks ahead. Either way, students are learning the power of the written word and the benefits of offering civil, constructive feedback.
