THE LOBO WAY
One of the ways we Live the Lobo Way is to STRENGTHEN THE PACK. Students, this week think about and act on ways you can positively contribute to your class, your school, and your community. Come to the office and share your experience with Mr. Loveless, Mrs. LeMmon, or Mr. Mortensen for a small treat!
ATTENDANCE IS IMPORTANT
Research shows that missing 10 percent of the school, or about 18 days in most school districts, negatively affects a student’s academic performance. That’s just two days a month and that’s known as chronic absence. When students improve their attendance rates, they improve their academic prospects and chances for graduating.
HOPE SQUAD
HOPE squad is a suicide prevention group supervised by our school counselors. Students receive training on how to recognize the signs of someone who is struggling and get them help by referring them to qualified support. Those who want to reach out and help others by being a part of HOPE Squad need to pick up an application from the counseling office. Applications are due in the counseling office by Friday, August 30th. Any questions, see Mr. Palfreyman.
SPORTS PHYSICALS
In order to speed the process of qualifying for fall sports, check out http://sfjhs.nebo.edu/Athletics for the required physical forms. These need to be completed prior to sports meeting attendance.
CROSS COUNTRY MEETING
Cross Country meeting, Thursday 8/29, 3pm in Coach Brooks-Mitchell’s classroom 8. Questions, see Coach Brooks-Mitchell.
TENNIS MEETING
Girls Tennis meeting, Tuesday 8/27, 3pm in Coach Lawrence's classroom A2 (the portable in the north lot with the Lobo paw on the side). Parents are welcome to attend. We will discuss the season, the schedule, and all the paperwork.
