Netsmartz Assembly

Submitted by david.thacker on

Students at Spanish Fork Junior High attended an assembly on how to use the Internet safely and smartly on November 1st.

A NetSmartz representative educated students on topics such as distracted driving, cyber bullying, and staying away from bad websites. They watched videos on why it’s dangerous to text and drive, and in how some parts of the world they have texting and walking lanes for people to freely walk and text.

They also saw a video of people in New York grabbing onto leashes provided by volunteers, who would then lead the people texting to wherever they wanted to go. It was a great day to learn about Internet safety.
