Mrs. Coxson – Teacher of the Month

Our teacher of the month at Spanish Fork Junior High is Sandy Coxson.  Mrs. Coxson is involved in many activities both at the school and in the community.  She is always the first one to volunteer her time and talents to whatever task is needed.  She works hard to make our school a wonderful place to learn.  Everyone she comes in contact with feels valued.  Her influence is felt in every aspect of our school from sports, activities, academics etc.

Mr. Ferrin nominated Mrs. Coxson by saying:  I would like to nominate Sandy. She has spent countless hours over the summer writing curriculum, teaching workshops and finding resources for the Math 7 and Math 8 curriculum – even though she doesn’t teach those classes!  This, in addition to preparing materials for her own class- Secondary Math 1.  She works hard to assist other teachers, and to try and help her students and make them feel comfortable.

Mrs. Coxson stated, “Kids are great people!  It is my job to teach them in such a way that they will be successful and life-long learners.  I am a compass.”

We are so fortunate to have such a devoted teacher at our school.  We appreciate all that you do to make SFJHS such a great place to be and to learn!
