This weekend several of our band students participated in the Nebo District Honor Band. Students were nominated based on factors such as exemplary behavior, hard work, and superior musical achievement. It was incredibly competitive to be selected as a nominee.

Leadership class is sponsoring our first annual dodgeball tournament at lunch. This week, teams are facing off in a round-robin tournament. Based on these results, next week they will participate in a single elimination tournament. Students should come to the gym for lunch and cheer on their friends!

In Mr. Mortimer’s science class they worked on elastic potential energy by launching hockey pucks down the hallways with rubber bands attached to the bottom of chairs. Students were challenged to master the distance the hockey puck would go based on how far back they pulled the rubber band.
