The Little Theater at Spanish Fork Junior High was crawling with wild animals—and we’re not talking about seventh-graders!
Zoo-mania, a traveling group that teaches students about careers involving animal science and behavior, presented its annual assembly to all seventh-grade CTE classes on Monday, August 25, 2014. Students learned about careers in animal medicine and behavior. Educator for Zoo-mania brought a wide variety of animals, showed students how to handle them properly, and shared interesting facts about each one. Students learned you can count the rings on a tortoise’s shell to determine its age. Snakes are blind while shedding. The Flemish Giant is a rabbit that can weigh over 30 pounds. And Sugar Gliders are nocturnal.
Thanks to Zoo-mania for the wonderful assembly!
