On Thursday, March 7, 2019, the Spanish Fork Junior High had their yearly Festival Choir Concert. The concert was titled "Through The Ages", and pieces were sung from many different time periods. The performers sang songs from many famous composers, from Ralph Vaughn Williams to Thomas Tallis to Mozart. There was a great turnout of family and friends coming to support the choir and enjoy the music. Each of the choirs (Beginning, Concert, Bel Canto, and Chamber), sang a few songs that they had been learning, practicing, and memorizing this term.
Author Chris Crowe visited the SFJH on Friday, March 1 and got to see firsthand where the reading of his book, Getting Away with Murder: The True Story of the Emmett Till Case, had taken students in Mrs. Thompson’s eighth grade English classes. Crowe was able to peruse the slide shows students created then answer students ‘questions concerning his book.
Recently, Animal Science students learned about vaccinating and deworming dogs. Josh Bartold and his Mom demonstrated how to give puppy vaccines and then others in class got to participate.
Ms. Phillips' joined in the Read Across America festivities to celebrate Dr. Seuss.

Today Spanish Fork Junior High competed in the Utah State Math Contest held at Weber State University.
Those who attended were the top 10 performers in each grade on our qualifying exam. Participants spent two weeks studying and practicing together during pack-time sessions as well as on their own to prepare for the event.
