Three students walked away with the honor of Grand Champion—one student did it in two categories! At the Uintah show, Gage Fevold won Grand Champion Hog Showman as well as the overall Grand Champion Showman title.
The Spanish Fork FFA Jr. High Officer Team met together to plan some activities for the summer and strengthen the team’s bonds.

Spanish Fork freshman Jade Rindlisbacher placed first in the pole-bending competition at the Utah High School Rodeo Association Championship held last Saturday.
Pole-bending is a timed competition where rider and horse have to weave through a series of 6 poles place 21 feet apart on the ground. Knocking over a pole adds five seconds to the competitor’s time while failure to follow the course causes disqualification.
Jade is featured in a great article by Jared Lloyd in the June 3rd issue of the Daily Herald. The link is provided below.
Congratulation Jade!

On the morning of May 18th, the Spring Hikers awoke to some frightful weather outside. But they were determined to do the hike they had all signed up for.
They showed up to school prepared to hike the switchbacks trail in Woodland Hills. On a last minute decision by Coach Johnson, the hikers switched hiking plans. Instead of the switchbacks, they would take on the slopes of West Mountain because there was not 3 feet of snow out there!
