Mrs. Thacker is the Region FCCLA Advisor of the Year
On Friday, February 10, 2023, at the Region 4 conference of the Utah Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), Kathy Thacker of Spanish Fork Jr. High was named Region FCCLA Advisor of the Year. This award is given to one advisor from the region, which includes: Juab, Nebo, Provo, Carbon, Emery, Grand, Tintic, North Sanpete, San Juan, and South Sanpete School Districts. In recognition of one advisor-educator who has gone above and beyond to serve the students of their school and advance the FCCLA program.
Spanish Fork Junior Student Helps Inspire the New State of Utah Flag
Zachary Christensen, a 9th grader here at Spanish Fork Junior High, submitted a flag design to be considered for the new Utah state flag. He was among the 68 entries that helped inspire the final design. He was invited to the capital and recognized for his contribution and given a $100 honorarium as a reward.

Over the weekend, some of our tough 9th graders wrestled in divisionals for Spanish Fork High School to qualify for state: Kade Darrington, Luke Mason, Kyler Spencer, Hyrum King, Howie Kinikini, and Ryker Olsen.
Kyler Spencer, Ryker Olsen, and Hyrum King qualified for the state tournament! Well done our Lobos fighting for the Dons!
