Stars Assembly

Submitted by david.thacker on Wed, 05/23/2018 - 09:42

In this astounding assembly, students of all ages showed off their fascinating talents on the big stage. These students worked hard, and it was their turn to show us what they could do. There was tons of singing, dancing, piano songs, lots of other musical performances, and much, much, more! There was even a special show done by the student council, which included the songs, “Under the Sea”, and “JAWS.” It was loads of tremendous fun for everyone and all the talents were incredibly amazing! Thank you to all the participants of the stars assembly this year! Go Lobos!

SFJHS AP Human Geography Class is Huge Success!

Submitted by david.thacker on Tue, 05/22/2018 - 17:59

It’s the end of the school year, and SFJHS’s first ever AP Human Geography class has been a huge success. Students sat for the exam last Friday, but they won’t know their scores until July. One student commented, “I thought the exam was actually really fun. At the beginning of the year, it sounded really scary because I was not sure if I would be able to know everything for the exam, but Ms. Terry is the best teacher and I know everybody else in the class agrees, so, as the year went on, my stress level about the test went down.

Trumpets, trombones, clarinets, flutes, tubas, euphoniums, french horns, and percussion. The Spanish Fork Junior High School Concert Band is practicing for their Spring Concert. They are playing songs like “DarkHeart” which is actually a piece of music based off a book. The book is called “Dark Adventure” which is a fictional book which includes much magic. “DarkHeart” is supposed to be part of a scene where the main character is running away from the castle. According to Max Fraser, 9th grade Concert Band percussionist, “It’s really challenging, but is a fun piece.

SAGE Testing

Submitted by david.thacker on Tue, 05/15/2018 - 06:16

The end of the school year often comes with stress to get your grades up, procrastinated assignments suddenly seeming more important, and frantically searching through an oversized binder to find that one missing paper. Probably the greatest of many students’ worries is SAGE Testing. Like any other overwhelmingly important test, the teachers stress to their students to get a good night’s sleep, eat a good breakfast, and bring a water bottle if they want.

PARENTS, STUDENTS, AND FRIENDS,

We have two weeks of school remaining and we are working daily with students to finish assignments, tests, and projects for their classes. We ask parents to check students’ grades frequently and have conversations with them about work completion and turning in work. We want every student to succeed.
