Zupas Night!

Submitted by david.thacker on

Next Tuesday, April 28th from 5-9 p.m., will be Spanish Fork Junior High Night at Zupas! That's right, on Tuesday only, Zupas will donate 20% of your entire order to Spanish Fork Junior High.  This is a great excuse to try out one of Spanish Fork's newest restaurants and help our school at the same time. Look for posters, flyers, and individual tickets for more information. And thank you in advance for helping out our school!

Attention, all ninth graders.  Elections for your next year SBOs are going on now! The polls are open and will be until Thursday at noon.  Check out the candidates' posters in the hallways, and visit the Spanish Fork High School website to vote. Simply click on "Students" and go to the voting link to cast  your vote.  Remember, you may only vote once with your lunch number, so make your selections wisely.  Good luck to all of our candidates from SFJHS!

Laugh Like a Burrito

Submitted by david.thacker on

Have you ever laughed like a burrito, or a dandelion?  How about an ostrich?  Tommy Wells, presenter at Tuesday’s Hope Week kick-off assembly, asked students to do just.  Happiness brings power into our lives, Wells told students, the power to overcome obstacles and the power to achieve our goals.

He also warned students to expect to fail.  Learning means failing and trying again—sometimes again and again and again.  Babe Ruth, one of the best homerun hitters of all time, struck out 1,330 times.  Achievement comes only after failure.
