Congratulations to all 8th grade Students of the Month!  These students were nominated by one of their teachers because of the way they exemplify the Lobo Way.  They consistently strengthen the Pack. They’ve learned to learn with passion and to forgive and accept.  These students have found their voice.

Learning sure gets exciting in Mr. Mortimer’s class.  Recently, his classes were studying reaction rates.  Check out the video.  Mr. Mortimer explains, “Here we saw the staunch difference between fine powder and thick grains of powder. The smaller the grain the larger the overall surface area creating a faster reaction. The larger grain size hardly reacted while the smaller grain size reacted super well.

This month in Ms. Phillips' Social Studies class we are learning about different celebrations.  This week we've been learning about Hanukkah.  The students learned some songs, how to dance the Hora, how to play Dreidel, and made Latkes.

Spanish Fork Junior High is excited about the nomination of one of its faculty for the Nebo Peak Award:  Robin White.  Ms. White teaches 8^th and 9^th grade English.
