Rockin' Roller Coaster Problem

The duration of a ride on the Rockin’ Roller Coaster (RCC) is 1 minute 30 seconds. The RCC has only one train consisting of a series of linked cars, each of which carries a pair of passengers. It takes each group of passengers exactly 30 seconds to board the train and exactly 30 seconds to exit the train. In one hour, 480 people board the train, complete the ride and exit the train. Assuming there is never a seat left vacant, how many linked cars are in the RCC’s train? Be sure to explain and/or show work!

This Thursday, May 13th, are the final choir concerts of the year! These free concerts will take place in the little theatre at the school. Beginning choir and concert choir will be performing a combined concert that starts at 6, while our chamber choir's performance starts at 7. These students have been working so hard, and we can't wait to share their talents with you!

As a break from testing,  Mrs. Anderson's 9th grade classes enjoyed a little down time in the sunshine learning,  watching,  and participating in performing arts.

This school year the students of Spanish Fork Junior High practiced and performed a school musical. In this musical they performed 80’s hits from 80’s movies. Throughout this long journey the students practiced until almost perfect. Tryouts happened in January. Everyone who tried out made it, and the soloist for songs were chosen. Through the endless practices of learning the songs and dances, the week of the performances finally came. Cast members anxiously awaited the performances. The opening night was a blast.
