Students play very carefully for new orchestra director. His (her?) standards are quite high and the penalty for failure is--well, let's just say they don't want to be caught dead play the wrong note.

If you visit SFJH on any given day, and peek through the door of a classroom, you will see some very creative teaching going on.  Case in point—Mrs. Harmer’s seventh grade Utah Studies class.  If you visited her room this week, you’d see students constructing models of the state out of graham crackers and using candy to show the features of Utah’s three distinct regions.

“Making graham cracker Utahs in my class is always a favorite,” exclaimed Mrs. Harmer recently.  “Students show their knowledge of the three physical regions of Utah by building them with delicious treats!”
