In Term 3 ESL students from SFJHS wrote food reviews after eating lunch at a local restaurant. Students studied several examples online and analyzed all the characteristics that make a food review readable and helpful for other patrons. Nebo is partnering with Tabitha’s Way for a new event called Read & Feed.
The purpose of this event is to encourage children to continue to read during the summer and to educate families facing food insecurity regarding food resources available to them and their children while they are not attending school. Our goal is to gather 10,000 gently used books that children can take home with them and keep to read during the summer.
Our school has a green book donation bin in our South parking lot next to the white Tabitha's Way donation bin. The green book donation bin will be in our parking lot NOW through April 30th. We wish to receive books that are appropriate for children between the ages of 0-15 and that are not political or faith-specific.
