Observing Chemical Reactions

Submitted by david.thacker on

Friday, November 5th, in Mr. Mortimer science class, students discussed the signs of a chemical reaction.  Then, in an awesome demonstration, students got to be ooh-ed and aah-ed by the majesty of chemicals interacting.

Thanks Mr. Mortimer, for sharing your love of learning.

Submitted by david.thacker on

Some of the teachers at Spanish Fork Junior High School are a little less hairy than they usually are. To show support for Mrs. Anderson, an English teacher at Spanish Fork Junior who is battling cancer, several teachers agreed to shave off their beloved facial hair at the beginning of November.

Russell LeMmon Wins November Wolf Pack Award

Submitted by david.thacker on

Wolves are capable hunters that work cooperatively in packs to take down prey.  But even with all that combined talent and power, wolves must be patient in order to succeed.  According to Wolf Haven International, a hunting pack can expect to only take down one moose for every twelve they track.  The characteristics of a strong pack—loyalty, a playful spirit, communication, teamwork, and patience—work together to ensure the pack thrives.
