Triskaidekaphobia
Triskaidekaphobia is an irrational fear of the number 13. Because of fear and superstition surrounding the number 13, it is common in tall buildings for the 13th floor to be skipped when installing elevators buttons, it is instead numbered 14. A particularly fearful hotel owner decided to skip floor 13, as well as, any multiples of 13 when numbering the floors. He did the same thing when numbering the rooms. If each floor has rooms numbered to 100 and the elevator has buttons numbered to 30, how many rooms does the hotel have?

November 5, the FFA officer team held a dodgeball tournament for any of the students in one of Ms. Warren’s 8th or 9th grade class. As many kids began to show up, we split them into two teams. We played multiple rounds of dodgeball, each one becoming more and more intense. The gyms were filled with many laughs. The games were also very competitive because if you cheated they would call you out. After all of the games were done they all went back to Ms. Warren’s room and ate lots of treats. This activity was very fun! Come to the next one for even more excitement!
