Wrestling
We want to congratulate our wrestlers on a great season this year. They finished up on Tuesday this week with the district tournament and did an awesome job representing Spanish Fork Junior High.
Hyrum King, Porter Olson, Ryker Olson, Sage Ross, Cahill Simons and Brody Vogelsberg all placed first in the tournament in their weight classes.
Gatlin Call and Kyler Spencer both placed 3rd and Wyatt Mangelson took 4th place.
Math Problem of the Week
The Jelly Bean Problem
The local high school was trying to raise money for a class trip by having students pay $1 to guess the number of jellybeans in a jar. Adam guessed there were forty-three, Bill guessed thirty-four, and Carl guessed forty-one. One person was off by six, another was off by three, and another was off by one. How many jellybeans were in the jar?
This problem will go until NEXT Friday Jan 29th. Be sure to submit clear work or explanation of your answer to receive credit!
Hope Week - January 19th - 22nd
The Hope Squad has planned an amazing week for the students of SFJHS. There will be daily lessons and activities encouraging students to have hope, confidence, kindness, and respect for themself and others.
SFJH (Finally!) Presents Frozen Jr.
After a long break, the SFJH Drama department was excited and relieved to be able to perform Frozen Jr. Performances were set to happen the week following our COVID dismissal in March 2020. It was heartbreaking when we found out we would be on remote learning through the end of the school year. We had quite a few 9th-grade students in the show that were leaving for SFHS in the fall.
