On Thursday, March 15th, Spanish Fork Jr. High's National Junior Honor Society chapter conducted a mega-induction with 52 new inductees.
It was a great event with the student officers conducting the induction. The officers discussed the 5 Pillars of NJHS and Mrs. LeMmon discussed The Lobo Way.
KINDNESS WEEK
In an effort to show and encourage kindness at SFJHS, the student council and counselors have put together Kindness Week. Special pack time lessons will be given with activities that will promote kindness throughout our school. We want to show the world how amazing the students at Spanish Fork Junior are and what it means to live the Lobo Way!
FROM OUR PTA: MARCH MADNESS FUNDRAISER
Nebo School District will host a number of parent and student mental health awareness nights throughout the spring at different high schools. This is a free seminar with information on improving mental health and safety planning provided by Wasatch Mental Health. SFJHS students can receive detention credit for PARENT AND STUDENT ATTENDANCE at one of the events. Click here for a downloadable flyer.

The teachers at Spanish Fork Junior High would like to thank our wonderful PTA for making us feel so loved during Teacher Appreciating Week.
On Monday, March 5th, teachers were reminded they were "naturally sweet" with muffins and fruit for breakfast. Tuesday, March 6th, the theme was "How SWEET it is to be taught by you." We all enjoyed sweets and treats during lunch. On Wednesday, March 7th, the PTA provided a “Thanks a Bunch Lunch.” Teachers were able to make sandwiches, sample salads, and nibble on chips, and desserts.
What do you do when the snow is flying, and it’s twenty degrees outside? Take a field trip to the Provo Rec Center, of course!
SFJH students had a lot of fun in the swimming pool. They were jumping off the platform, doing a lot of cool tricks, and playing water basketball. We even had some students jump in with the water Zumba that was going on. Students did not let the bad weather keep them from having some fun in the water.
Did you know that scholarships are not just for high school seniors and college students? Plenty of organizations offer scholarships to students as young as elementary school – and StepUp is one of them!
