Fall Carnival

Submitted by david.thacker on

The first school dance of the year for the Spanish Fork Lobos was this past Friday, November 3, 2017.

Students who brought their student ID were given 10 tickets upon admission to play their choice of several carnival type games: ping pong Gatorade toss, pumpkin bowling, disk golf, football toss, and a face painting booth (hearts were a simple but popular request among the girls).

Spike-Ball a Big Hit in PE

Submitted by david.thacker on

The new craze in PE is Spike-ball!  It’s a fast paced, intense game where a pair of teammates plays against each other, trying to score points as the ball “spikes” off a trampoline net.

The rules are very similar to volleyball.  Each team is allowed 3 hits to spike it off of the net and change possession.  There are no boundaries, so players are constantly running around, jumping over the net, etc.

The students love it!  Bryton Asay and Taggert Harrison  said they love Spike-ball because it is fun!

Thanks to all of the teachers who put in hours upon hours of preparation time, teaching time, re-teaching and intervention time so students are proficient and ready for the next level of instruction. And, a huge thank you to parents and guardians who support their children and support our school! Way to Strengthen the Pack!

Jazz Band

Submitted by david.thacker on

If you’re walking through the cafeteria one morning before school, you might just want to grab a bite of breakfast, settle in, and listen to the Jazz Band. Jeffrey Sass, who plays the alto saxophone says, “Jazz Band is a great before school activity where you play harder music than normal and you have to work harder and devote more time than Concert Band.” Lindsey Deveraux who plays the tenor saxophone says that being in the Jazz Band “has helped me learn more about music.”
