Constitution Day announcement

Submitted by david.thacker on

Good morning Spanish Fork Junior High, this is Nathan Christiansen. Today September 17th is constitution day, the day that the constitution was ratified. The constitution is known as the most important document ever created. It is what helps us maintain our freedoms still today. Exactly 223 years ago the constitution was signed and adopted as the supreme law of the land. The 39 men that signed this document signed it with a courage and hope that it would serve America well, and assure that  our freedom would last. Throughout US.

The students were moved by the beauty, reverence, and meaning of the 58,253 names etched in the wall.  Many students returned that evening with their families to the memorial to share and spend more time there, some finding the names of their relatives on the Wall.
